Vivian Shatley Miller: Kure Beach, NC, United States; After many years in the corporate world, I moved back to my hometown in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. There I purchased a Real Estate firm and remained in West Jefferson for almost thirty years, It was a gratifying chapter of my life helping clients who desired a second home in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina or those who wanted to escape from the city and retire to a more peaceful, small-town environment. Now I am semi-retired and live on the North Carolina coast, Pleasure Island. The day for me consists of working on a few accounts – Internet Marketing while watching the waves from my office window. After scheduling my blogs, social media, or other marketing for the week – I take a book or a sketch pad and go to the beach for a few hours, then return to paint in my studio. Seascapes or the Blue Ridge Mountains are my forte in oils. Abstracts, I work in Acrylics… abstracts are my favorites, but more difficult to achieve.
